Introduction to Vaping
What is vaping?
Vaping refers to the inhalation and exhalation of vapor when using an e-cigarette or vaporizer. It is the evolution of smoking and replaces many of the negative aspects of traditional tobacco combustion. The technical term for the vapor is aerosol and can be compared to the steam from a kettle that is created when liquid is heated.
Vaping works by heating the e-liquid, creating a vapor that is inhaled and exhaled. E-liquids come in various nicotine strengths, even nicotine-free. Vaping is seen as a healthier alternative to smoking.
How do e-cigarettes work?
An e-cigarette consists of three main components:
- Battery
- Clearomizer or tank (container for the e-liquid), usually a plastic or glass container with a wick and a wire that heats up.
- E-liquid
The battery sends electricity through the heating wire in the clearomizer, which is wrapped around a wick or cotton and gently heated to turn the saturated e-liquid into vapor.
Who is vaping intended for?
For anyone over 18 years of age looking for a safer alternative to smoking traditional tobacco products. Some products contain nicotine.
At what age can you buy vape products?
We only sell to people over 18 years of age.
Does vaping help you quit smoking? Can I use vape products with tobacco products?
Vaping has helped us and many others to quit smoking. However, there is no guarantee that it will work for you, although over 2,3 million people vape in the UK alone. Of course, you can continue to use tobacco products, there are no regulations. However, if you continue to have cravings, it could be because your e-liquid has too low a nicotine content or the device or liquid is poor quality.
Is vaping allowed indoors? Does the smoking ban in the EU also apply to e-cigarettes?
Since e-cigarettes do not involve combustion, they are not subject to the general EU smoking ban. However, it is at the discretion of the building owner whether the use of e-cigarettes is permitted. Please check the relevant regulations.
Can I take my vape products on the plane?
Please check with the airline. There is no legal ban on bringing vape products on board the plane, however airlines may have their own regulations.
Does vaping taste like tobacco?
There are countless flavors available, including tobacco flavors. High-quality vaping devices can mimic smoking well by providing a similar throat sensation, taste, and nicotine hit. If your device can't do this, it could be due to the wrong nicotine strength, a poor-quality device, or poor-quality e-liquid.
Do e-cigarettes and e-liquids produce an odor?
Some do, some don't - some leave a pleasant smell similar to the taste of the e-liquid, others leave none at all.
How often can I vape? Can I use vape products as often as cigarettes?
As often as you like - there are no rules. Your body will signal to you when it has had enough nicotine by stopping you from feeling any cravings.
Does the battery make the device too hot?
We only sell regulated batteries and mods from trusted manufacturers. These devices can get warm with constant use, but should never be hot. If your device gets too hot, we recommend disposing of it safely immediately and contacting the seller.

More about e-liquids
How are e-liquids made?
Mixing and maturing – propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavors and possibly nicotine.
How much nicotine is contained in e-liquids? Are there nicotine-free versions?
Nicotine is calculated as a percentage of the e-liquid. For example, a 10 ml bottle with 12 mg of nicotine contains 1,2% nicotine. Common nicotine strengths are 24 mg, 18 mg, 12 mg, 6 mg, 3 mg and 0 mg (nicotine-free).
Can I mix different e-liquid flavors?

More about vape products
Do vape products require batteries?
Some have built-in batteries that cannot be removed, such as the Kanger EVOD, Aspire VV or Innokin VV. Higher-end products such as mods use removable batteries and can be charged via micro-USB cable.
How do I refill a clearomizer?
Refilling is usually easy. On basic models, the top (also called drip tip) is removed and the liquid is poured into the tank. On other clearomizers, the base is unscrewed and filled from the bottom. Avoid the middle opening (chimney) as this can lead to spillage.
Is there an on/off switch?
Depending on the device, there is usually an on/off function that is activated by pressing the fire button several times quickly (e.g. 3, 5 or 7 times).
Are the products and e-liquids manufactured in the UK?

How do I choose the right vape product for me?
